Are you happy to be just another ElseVerlag content provider?
Ok, peer reviewing is the primary channel for checking the quality of content. But this leads to abusing practices from the dominant publishing companies. Without going into details of this, one fact remains: the author is at the service of the publishing company, and not the converse.
At LaTeX2web, we believe that your content deserves better than that. We believe that your documents can be elevated to a higher status. Le us review the benefits of publishing to LaTeX2Web.
You are your own publisher
Upload your document, and it's ready to be published on the Internet, in a format that is really engaging, as compared to the poor quality of other online publications. Take a look!
Your document is automatically referenced by Google, and you specify how it should be referenced.
And if your document has been published to a journal, the journal will be cited, and your document DOI will lead to the original publication.
Finally, LaTeX2Web lets you grab the BibTeX entry for your new document!
Your document has a second life
Beyond web publication, your document in open to comments and discussions in LaTeX2Web. Registered users can ask questions, post comments, react to posts, all of this in the document web page. Each post is redacted in LaTeX, with extensive support for site-wide cross-references. This puts you in touch with your audience directly.
And of course, as an author, you can edit and delete posts and threads, because, it's your home, no?
And, if you are not happy with having discussions, you can disable them in the document options.
Enrich your document
You can add slideshows in your document to highlight important features of your document. Every slide can include pretty much anything that is publishable in LaTeX2Web. (coming soon: Beamer import).
You also can embed videos in your document, be it mp4 or YouTube.
Tired of manually entering data for your LaTeX tables? Import CSV data files directly into your document. As a bonus, these tables are sortable.
Images can be panned and zoomed, and also expanded into a lightbox which enlarges the image to the full browser window. As a bonus, the lightbox also offers you a slide show of all the images in the document.
At LaTeX2Web, we both look backwards by improving compatibility with existing LaTeX software, and forwards to develop new web features that will make your communication more engaging.
We can't wait to see you jump aboard!
